Let's have a laugh at the top 10 best selling funniest cards of 2016
As we say goodbye to 2016, it is always fun to look back at what funny cards have been the most popular through the year. At the Comedy Card Company, we always stock a wide range of humour and we can see this in the variety of humorous cards on this list. We have excluded Christmas cards and we have created this top ten using sales volumes of each card sold. Without further delay, here are the top ten funniest cards in reverse order . . .
At Number 10 . . .
Classic cartoon by Tim Whyatt from his ever popular Traces of Nuts range. Featuring a butterfly that has been stopped by the police, having to explain why the photo on his driving licence (caterpillar) looks different to his new appearance!
At Number 9 . . .
Our best selling card by Modern Toss is 'Ideas Meeting'. Modern Toss is noted for its dry, sarcastic humour often focussing on the mundane sides of life, especially work situations. Rather rude but also rather hilarious.
At Number 8 . . .
The New Yorker magazine is famous for its satirical sense of humour and wonderful cartoons. The 'Woodpeckers were a mistake' cartoon is a classic favourite and shows the disastrous result of taking a pair of woodpeckers onto the Noah's Ark!
At Number 7 . . .
Simon Drew is noted for his beautiful illustrations and his fine sense of wit, especially his clever wordplay. This design, centred around the famous line from Dad's Army, has proved very popular.
At Number 6. . .
A perennial favourite from Dean Morris, this caption is just perfect, combining the love of technology and your boss and telling them both to shove it!!
At Number 5 . . .
A cheeky message for the recipient in this card by Brainbox Candy, spelled out on a canteen style notice board.
At Number 4 . . .
A favourite birthday card by Dean Morris, with a funny, cheeky caption poking fun at the recipient's advancing age, suggesting that their contemporaries are now starting to wet themselves!
At Number 3 . . .
Taking bronze in the 2016 best selling funny card stakes is another card by Brainbox Candy. From a list of superlative words, complimenting the recipient, comes a cheeky acronym bumping them back down to earth!
At Number 2 . . .
In second place, a hugely popular birthday card by Rainbow Cards. Featuring a cartoon by Peter Nesbit showing a cyclist in all the latest gear, making an unfortunate shadow against the wall.

At Number 1 . . .
Taking the gold for funniest / best selling card of 2016 is Watership Downer - an hilarious cartoon by Al Murphy showing a rabbit reading Watership Down in absolute horror. This card has been top of our funny card charts for several years now.
